Over 25 years of experience with children, teens and adults:

 

Kristi graduated from Indiana University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Counselor Education in 1994, and began work at East 91st Street Christian Church as their Director of Support and Recovery Groups, providing training and supervision to over 20 groups as well as counseling for individuals and couples.

In 2003 Kristi moved to Bloomington, IN, and began work with Family Services, an agency committed to providing therapeutic support to children and families involved with Child Protective Services, and began training in ways to help families understand and heal from trauma and attachment wounds.

In 2006 Kristi moved to Louisville, KY, and developed the role of elementary counselor at her children’s school. Kristi worked as a school mental health therapist for 12 years, helping children, teens and families cope with anxiety and depression, heal from trauma, and navigate supports for learning differences and emotional disorders.

Kristi and her husband, Trent, have an adult daughter, a teenage son, and two mini golden retrievers. Kristi enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, writing, and gardening.
